MADISON, Wis. – Victoria Pickett of the Wisconsin women's soccer team has been named to Canada's 21-player roster for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016, which was announced by Team Canada and head coach Danny Worthington this week.
Pickett, the 2015 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and the rest of Canada's top female youth players will be facing some of the best teams in the world, including two confederation champions.
Canada plays Spain in its opening match on Nov. 13 and will then play Nigeria on Nov. 16. Canada will close play against Japan on Nov. 20.
