Events at men’s hockey and men’s basketball will help less fortunate children this holiday season
MADISON, Wis. — This holiday season, the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department will once again be partnering with the United States Marines to host two Toys for Tots events.
The first event will be on Friday, Dec. 2 at the men's hockey game against Omaha.
The second event will be at the Saturday, Dec. 3 men's basketball game against Oklahoma. New, unwrapped toys and monetary donations will be collected at all gate entrances of the Kohl Center for each of the scheduled dates.
The men's hockey game will offer all participants a 'Chuck-a-Puck' to throw on the ice post-game for a chance to win four season tickets for next year. To receive a Chuck-a-Puck, fans must provide a new, unwrapped toy or a $5 donation to Toys for Tots.
As part of the Badgers Give Back program, UW student athletes have teamed up with the U.S. Marines to provide toys to Toys for Tots to children less fortunate over the holiday. UW student athletes will be at all Gates accepting donations to Toys for Tots during the games on Dec. 2 and 3.
