Badgers wrap up FAMC Intercollegiate

Skogen ties for 13th at +4
College Grove, Tenn. -- A slow start by the Wisconsin men's golf team proved to be too much to overcome as the Badgers finished 12th in the FAMC Intercollegiate at The Grove Golf Course in College Grove, Tennessee.
Senior Ben Skogen (73-73-74=220) was the Badgers' top golfer of the tournament after shooting a 2-over 74 in the final round to tie for 13th place.
Competing as an individual, freshman Pete Kuhl (75-74-74=223) claimed the next best finish for UW thanks to registering another 2-over 74 to tie for 29th place and pick up his first top-30 finish.
With a 9-over 81 performance, junior Eddie Wajda (73-71-81=225) slipped into a tie for 41st place while sophomore Jordan Hahn (72-78-78=228) shot a 6-over 78 to be tied for 54th.
Freshman Nick Robinson (77-77-76=230) shot his best round of the tournament with a 4-over 76 in the final round to tie for 64th place. Three strokes behind Robinson was junior Johnny Decker (77-76-80=233), who claimed 66th.
The Badgers (295-297-308=900) finished at 36-over, just four strokes off 11th-place North Carolina State and 11 behind 10th-place McNeese State. Mississippi took home the tournament crown after netting a 4-over 868, while Kennesaw State took second place at 10-over. College of Charleston (+14), Middle Tennessee State (+16), Troy (+19) and Georgia (+19) rounded out the top five.
Next up for the Badgers is the Windon Memorial Classic at the North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Illinois, from Monday to Tuesday.
