5 Things to Know: Pinetree Intercollegiate

MADISON, Wis.— The Wisconsin men's golf team heads south this weekend for its final tournament as a team this fall, the Pinetree Intercollegiate hosted by Kennesaw State University at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Here is what you need to know before the tournament:

Starting Five: Wisconsin's five competitors this weekend will be: junior Jordan Hahn, sophomore Pete Kuhl and Nick Robinson, and freshmen Sam Andersen and Griffin Barela. Junior Brett Robinson will compete as an individual.
The Competition: Eleven teams will be competing for the title at the Pinetree Intercollegiate including host Kennesaw State, Belmont, Florida Gulf Coast, Gonzaga, Jacksonville State, Mercer, Nichols State, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and Wisconsin.
Pinetree Intercollegiate Format: The course is at Pinetree Country Club, a 54-hole tournament (par 72, 7,108 yards) and will feature 11 teams. The tournament begins at 8:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23. The teams will play 36 holes that day followed by the final 18 on Tuesday. Live stats and updates can be found on Golfstat at www.golfstatresults.com.
Home of Legends: Pinetree Country Club saw a $2.5 million renovation to its historic course in 2008, regarded as one of the finest private golf courses in the state of Georgia. The course has played host to golf legends including Arnold Palmer, Bobby Jones, and Tommy Aaron.
