Mauermann, Campbell earn WCHA monthly honors

Duo lead No. 1 Badgers to four wins against ranked teams in November
MADISON, Wis. – After leading Wisconsin women's hockey to four wins against ranked teams in November, sophomores Alexis Mauermann and Kristen Campbell earned monthly awards from the WCHA, the league announced Monday.
Mauermann was named the WCHA Offensive Player of the Month, while Campbell received the WCHA Goaltender of the Month award for a second-consecutive month.
A sophomore winger for the Badgers, Mauermann recorded eight points during UW's six games in November, leading No. 1 Wisconsin to a 5-1 record during the month.
Mauermann lead the WCHA in goals-per-game, averaging 0.83 goals per contest while her .333 shooting percentage was also a league high.
A native of Janesville, Wisconsin, Mauermann's +7 plus/minus rating was tied for the fourth-best mark in the league during the month.
Campbell enjoyed another stellar month in net for UW, earning a 5-1 record for the Cardinal and White. The Brandon, Manitoba, native picked up four victories against ranked teams during the month, including a shutout of No. 5 Ohio State.
Campbell's 1.35 goals-against average, .938 save percentage and five wins all ranked second in the WCHA and rank in the top-10 nationally during the month. Campbell's one shutout during the month also ranked second in the WCHA.
???????Mauermann, Campbell and the top-ranked Badgers hit the road this weekend for a WCHA series at St. Cloud State. Puck drop on both Friday and Saturday is set for 3 p.m.
