Sheffield's contract renewed through 2023

Winningest coach in program history gets extension

MADISON, Wis. -- The UW Athletic Board met Friday afternoon and approved the following recommendations of the UW Department of Athletics regarding contracts for fall sports head coaches:

Football coach Paul Chryst's five-year contract was renewed through January 31, 2023.
Volleyball coach Kelly Sheffield's five-year contract was renewed through January 31, 2023.
Women's soccer coach Paula Wilkins' three-year contract was renewed through January 31, 2021.
Men's soccer coach John Trask's three-year contract was renewed through January 31, 2021.

Sheffield is 135-35 in five years at Wisconsin, a winning percentage of .794. He has guided the Badgers to five straight NCAA tournament appearances, advancing to at least the sweet 16 every year.
