Four winter sports coaches receive renewals on Friday

MADISON, Wis. — The UW Athletic Board met Friday afternoon and approved the following recommendations of the UW Department of Athletics regarding contracts for winter sports head coaches:

Men's basketball coach Greg Gard's five-year contract was renewed through May 31, 2023.
Women's basketball coach Jonathan Tsipis' five-year contract was renewed through May 31, 2023.
Women's hockey coach Mark Johnson's five-year contract was renewed through June 30, 2023.
Men's hockey coach Tony Granato's five-year contract was renewed through June 30, 2023.
