All four expected to join Wisconsin this fall for the 2018-19 season
MADISON, Wis. – Among the 104 potential draft picks invited to this week's NHL draft combine for June's NHL draft are four who's dreams are getting closer, and who earlier this school year committed to play hockey for the Wisconsin Badgers.
All four are in Buffalo, New York, to undergo physical testing and interview with the 31 NHL teams.
Forwards Sampo Ranta (Naantali, Finland) and Jack Gorniak (West Salem), as well as defensemen Ty Emberson (Eau Claire) and K'Andre Miller (Minnetonka, Minnesota) are all scheduled to take part in the event with their potential future employers.
Looking over mock drafts, as the June 22-23 NHL draft approaches, Ranta and Miller are listed as potential first-round picks, while Emberson and Gorniak are not far behind in draft rankings.
