
Five Things to Know: Cardinal Cup

MADISON, Wis. -Â The Wisconsin women's golf team is headed to Louisville to compete in the Cardinal Cup on Friday-Sunday.
Here are five things you need to know before the Badgers tee off on Friday morning.
1. Look Familiar?: The Badger lineup will consist of Tess Hackworthy, Eloise Healey, Claire Fitzgerald, Tracy Lee and Emily Lauterbach. These five players have all competed on the team in each tournament leading up to the Cardinal Cup.
2. Cardinal Cup:Â This will be the Badgers' fifth appearance at the Cardinal Cup. Last year, the team placed eighth out of 14 teams. UW's best finish was second place in 2016.
3. Front Runner: Tracy Lee is currently leading the Badgers with a season 18-hole average of 74.50 strokes.
4. The Field: The Badgers will be going up against 16 other schools. These schools are Ball State, Campbell, Chattanooga, East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Kansas, Kentucky, host Louisville, Mercer, Minnesota, Middle Tennessee State, Murray State, Richmond, South Dakota, No. 24 ranked Washington and Western Kentucky.
5. The Format: The tournament will be three days with 18 holes played each day. Friday and Saturday tee times start at 10 a.m., with a 9 a.m. shotgun for Sunday morning.
