Badgers move up a spot on the leaderboard
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -Â The Badger women's golf team moved up one place after the second round at the Cardinal Cup. Collectively, they moved into a tie for fifth place after shooting an eight-over-par round of 296, a two-stroke improvement from Friday. They are also just one place and four strokes behind No. 24 ranked Washington.
Still in the lead for the team is Tess Hackworthy. Carding a one-under on the front nine, she finished round two at even par 72 and in a three-way tie for eighth place.

Tracy Lee and Emily Lauterbach both shot a three-over-par round of 75 and are tied for 13th and 23rd place, respectively. Claire Fitzgerald improved four strokes from yesterday's round, finishing with a two-over-par 74 for round two, and Eloise Healey ends the day with a three-over 76. Both Fitzgerald and Healey are tied for 38th place. All five players are currently in the top half of the field.
The third and final round kicks off Sunday morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun. Live stats can be found on Golfstat.
