MADISON, WIS. - The first season match-up ended well for the Badgers. Wisconsin faced UW-Whitewater in a home-opening exhibition game on Wednesday night. The Badgers took down the Warhawks, 67-34
Leading for the Badgers was standout sophomore
Imani Lewis. The 6-foot-1 forward went 5-for-12 on field goal attempts and 5-for-9 at the free-throw line, scoring a total of 15 points. She was also second for the Badgers with seven rebounds which included a team lead of three offensive rebounds.
Following Lewis was senior
Suzanne Gilreath with 10 points. Also notable was freshman guard
Julie Pospisilova's five steals and three blocks and senior guard
Kendra Van Leeuwen's five assists.
Guard Veronica Kieres took charge for the Warhawks, leading with nine points, six rebounds and three blocks.
