Team finishes round two at one-over-par
CHICAGO, Ill.- Wisconsin women's golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the Illini Women's Invitational on Monday evening.
The team is currently tied for 12th place with a total 18-over-par 594.
Round one was lead by junior Claire Fitzgerald who shot a two-over-par 74. In total for round one, the team shot a 17-over-par 305. The Badgers then went on to improve the second round by 16 strokes, finishing at one-over par with a 289.
Emily Lauterbach stepped up for the second round as she pulled out a three-under-par round of 69. A career low 18-hole score, she improved 14 strokes from the first round.
Overall, Fitzgerald leads the team tied for 39th at four-over-par 148 strokes, followed by Tracy Lee at five-over-par 149 and Eloise Healey at seven-over par 151.
The final 18 holes start Tuesday morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun.
