Badgers first game on the road set for Nov. 14
MADISON, WIS.- Wisconsin heads to the University of Colorado for their first road match-up against the Buffaloes on Nov. 14.
Here are five things to kow before tip-off:
1. Watch Out Wofford:The Badgers took down the Wofford Terriers 78-65 on Nov. 10. Finishing the first half down by three points, Wisconsin came back to claim the game and improved their season record to 2-0.
2. Gilreath Going for Gold: Senior guard Suzanne Gilreath moved from eighth to seventh place for all-time three-point scorers after sinking five. She now has a career total of 175 and is only 74 baskets short of breaking the record.
3. Kendra Keeps It Coming: Van Leeuwen finished the Wofford game with 11 total assists, putting her just 25 away from the top top all-time leaders in assists.
4. The Opponent: Currently the University of Colorado is 1-0 after defeating New Jersey Institute 80-57 on Nov. 10. The Pac-12 listed the Buffaloes 12th out of all 12 teams in its pre-season rankings. Wisconsin has faced Colorado twice before, the last time being in 2011. The series is tied 1-1.
