Leuzinger joins roster for 2020-21 season
Madison, Wis. – Wisconsin Women's Basketball coach Jonathan Tsipis announced the addition of Natalie Leuzinger to the Badgers' roster for the 2020-21 season.
A 5-7 guard from Monroe, Wisconsin, Natalie Leuzinger is a three-year letter winner for the Black Hawk Warriors, earning All-Conference and All-State honors three years in a row. A three-time Conference Player of the Year, Leuzinger led the Warriors to a Conference and State Championship. Not only did her team win the first State Title in school history, Leuzinger's break-out Junior year concluded with her breaking the Division 5 State Tournament record for field goal percentage, shooting 76.2 percent.
Leuzinger is a letter-winning member of the softball and track and field teams, earning numerous All-Conference honors in both sports. Also successful in the classroom, she has earned distinguished academic honors three years in a row and has been named to the Six Rivers Math Meet first-team all-conference two consecutive years.
Leuzinger also played for the Wisconsin Academy AAU program led by coach Reggie Williams.
Coach Tsipis on Leuzinger: "We are thrilled to have Natalie join us as a preferred walk-on next season! As a Wisconsin native, she embodies what it means to be a Badger student-athlete with her strong ambition in the classroom and work ethic on the court. We look forward to having another homegrown player on our roster and would like to welcome the entire Leuzinger family to our program!"
