Day 1 Results
TOLEDO, Ohio- The Wisconsin women's golf team opened its 2019-20 season on Monday at Inverness Club as the University of Toledo hosted the Glass City Invitational.
Wisconsin's six-lady roster consists of senior Tess Hackworthy, juniors Claire Fitzgerald, Eloise Healy and Bobbi Stricker, sophomore Tracy Lee and freshman Emily Lauterbach.
After the first day, the Badgers are in 11th place with rounds of 303 and 306, tallying 609 through 36 holes. Lauterbach leads the Badgers after shooting a two-over-par 74 for both rounds, finishing the day with a four-over-par 148 and a share at 18th place. This is the Hartland. native's first tournament with the Badgers.
When addressing the team and what they'll need to bring to the course tomorrow, coach Todd Oehrlein said "The golf course is such a strong test and each hole requires good execution. We had stretches throughout each round where we had it in good position, but we'll need to be more consistent tomorrow."
On Tuesday morning, the Badgers will start off the 10th hole with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT. Live coverage of round three can be found on ESPN3 starting at 11 a.m. CT, as well as live scoring updates on GolfStat throughout the entire day.
