CHICAGO – In their fourth-straight overtime match, the No. 16 Wisconsin women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw at Loyola on Thursday night. Â
After falling behind 1-0 in the 21st minute, the Badgers evened the game up in the 30th minute thanks to a goal from Murtha. The Badgers won a free kick in a dangerous spot and
Claire Shea's delivery found Murtha for her second goal in as many games.
UW took control in the second half, outshooting the Ramblers 7-2 and 4-2 in overtime but were unable to earn their third-straight overtime win.
Notes to Know:
- UW outshot Loyola 20-8 and did not allow a shot on goal after the Rambler's goal midway through the first half.
- Murtha leads UW this year with a pair goals and is one of four Badgers with goals this year.
