High School: Shea has ties back to Wisconsin and the women's soccer program, as Claire's sister, Grace, played soccer at Wisconsin under head coach Paula Wilkins. Claire has played high school soccer at North Atlanta High School and was a member of the Concorde Fire Soccer Club.
Head Coach Paula Wilkins: "Claire's sister, Grace, played soccer for us here at Wisconsin for a year. Claire comes from Georgia, but her family has huge connections and ties back here in Wisconsin. What I like about Claire is that she's the ball-winner kind of player who does the job that nobody else wants to do. She's smart, she's a great leader, she's a good tackler, she has good vision and she strikes the ball well. All of those things make me really excited for her to be at Wisconsin. Claire is very versatile and I believe she is going to be able to play different roles for us. She has the flexibility to do that, which allows her the ability to impact the program in a good way."
