MADISON, Wis. – The 2019 NCAA Finalist and Big Ten Conference Champion Wisconsin Badger Volleyball program would like to announce the schedule for their 2020 Wisconsin Volleyball summer camps!
The Badgers will hold 13 camps during May and July for campers from age 4 all the way through those entering 12th grade this fall. Camp registration is currently open at UWCamps.com/Volleyball!
This summer, Badger Volleyball will include camp programs for youth campers looking to introduce themselves to the game of volleyball as well as programs that will focus on advanced, skill specific instruction for advanced and experienced players. Under the guidance of the 2019 Big Ten Coach of the Year, Badger Head Coach Kelly Sheffield, each camp will focus on improving volleyball skills through fun, competitive environments.

All sessions of Badger Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

All campers attending multi-day camps will receive a free camp t-shirt and free camp volleyball with their registration. Campers attending the one day camps and team one day camp will receive a free camp t-shirt with their registration.

The Badger Overnight Team Camp from July 10-12 will include training elements used by the Badger program while also addressing each team's specific needs to improve their competition level. The Team One Day Camp is designed for teams specifically looking to raise their competition level by competing against other varsity and junior varsity teams.

NEW FOR 2020! This year, we are pleased to announce that overnight campers attending the Advanced College Prep Camp, Badger Camp, and Overnight Team Camp, will also get to experience living like a Badger by staying in the newly $50 million renovated Witte Hall on the University of Wisconsin campus!

The Setter Position Camp will be taught basic and advanced setting skills, techniques, and tactics. Attackers will learn both beginner and advanced hitting techniques in addition to being introduced to position-specific training for outside/right-side attacking or middle attacking. Liberos will be able to focus on breaking down and developing strong passing and defensive techniques.

The volleyball program will offer a total of four youth camps for boys and girls ages 4-11. For these "Little Badgers" ages 4-8, two camps will be held, one on the evenings of May 28-29 and one on the mornings of May 30-31. These "Little Badgers" youth camps will introduce campers to the sport of volleyball while teaching new general athletic skills.

For the "Junior Badgers" ages 8-11, two separate camps on May 30-31 will be held; one during the early afternoon with the second during the late afternoon. These "Junior Badgers" will focus on breaking down fundamental techniques while incorporating a fun-filled environment. These extremely popular camps frequently sell out, so please register quickly!

Train like a Badger
Girls entering the seventh through 12th grades may attend either the Badger Advanced College Prep camp or the Badger Camp to get the "Badger" experience. Training throughout the camp will incorporate elements specific to how the Badger volleyball team trains, with individual skill development and competitions. While both camps will include similar training, the Advanced College Prep Camp on July 6-8 will incorporate an accelerated training plan that will incorporate higher-level concepts at a faster pace than the Badger Camp held on July 15-17.Â
Team Camps available
Girls' teams looking to take their team to the next level through training and competition can participate in the Overnight Team Camp July 10-12, while teams looking specifically test their competition level can attend the Girls' Team One Day Camp on July 12. Over the past few years, the Badger Volleyball Team Camp has helped produce multiple state champions across multiple states and multiple divisions! One of the most popular and successful team camps in the region, the Badger Volleyball Team Camp can accommodate teams from states all around the Midwest.The Badger Overnight Team Camp from July 10-12 will include training elements used by the Badger program while also addressing each team's specific needs to improve their competition level. Position Camps and Serving Camps available on two separate days
The Badgers will offer specialty one day camps for setters, hitters, and liberos on two separate occasions. Athletes may participate in special position camps on July 18 and/or July 19.Â

Serving Camps
The Badgers will offer two separate serving camps this summer. During these one session camps, training will include the breakdown of the techniques of basic to advanced serving including tactics and strategies. These two serving camps will occur directly after the individual positions camps on July 18 and July 19. For individuals interested in attending both a positions camp and a serving camp in the same day, a combination discount is available.Â
Camps for Youth, Junior, and Little Badgers
A Youth All-Skills camp for boys and girls entering the fourth through eighth grades will be held July 15-17. This day camp will focus on all fundamental volleyball skills including hitting, setting, defense, serving, and passing. This beginner-to-intermediate level camp will allow youth athletes new or just beginning to advanced their skills in volleyball to focus on their development in a fun engaging environment.The volleyball program will offer a total of four youth camps for boys and girls ages 4-11.
