No. 8 Baylor sweeps UW, 4-0, in the consolation round
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's tennis team faced another tough test on Saturday at the ITA National Indoor Championship as UW suffered a 4-0 setback to No. 8 Baylor at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
UW dropped the doubles point as Baylor grabbed a 6-3 victory at first and third doubles. The freshman duo of Gabriel Huber and Robin Parts held the 5-2 lead over No. 23 Ryan Dickerson and Matias Soto when the match was ended early.
The Badgers were unable to earn a singles win before Baylor clinched the match. Jared Pratt had an opportunity for Wisconsin, defeating No. 102 Adrian Boitan in the first set, 6-2, but his second set went unfinished.
UP NEXT: Wisconsin will play their third match of the ITA National Championships Sunday at 6:30 p.m. against South Carolina. The third day of the tournament will begin at 9 a.m. and fans can find more information about the event here.
