Healey aces to lead Badgers

Healey and Lauterbach tally career-best scores at Westbrook
PEORIA, Ariz. — The Wisconsin women's golf team wrapped up rounds one and two at the Westbrook Invitational on Sunday evening.Â
The team sits in 11th place out of 16 teams after shooting a one-over-par 289 in round one and an even-par 288 in round two. The Badgers' 577 score for 36 holes in the lowest for the team during the 2019-20 season
Eloise Healey, who leads the team at two-under-par 142, earned herself a hole-in-one on the 156-yard hole No. 4 during the second round. She is in a five-way tie for 22nd place. With a three-under-par 69 in round one, Healey set a career-low 18 hole score, shattering her previous best of 73 strokes. She also set a career-low 36 hole score, erasing her previous best of 146 strokes.
Finishing the day with an even-par 144 is freshman Emily Lauterbach. She went 73 (+1) in round one and 71 (-1) in round two. She also carded a new career-low for 36 holes. Her previous career low was a 148, which she set at the Glass City Invitational, her first tournament with the Badgers.
The final round begins Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. CT.
