Robinson, Wesley receive Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award
May 27, 2020 | General News, Men's Golf, Women's Soccer
Wisconsin duo recognized for sportsmanship, behavior, academics and citizenship
These standouts were chosen from a group of 270 students honored throughout the academic year who had displayed positive sportsmanship. One member of each varsity sports team on every campus was chosen by his or her institution as a Sportsmanship Award honoree and two Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winners were then selected from each institution. All of the Sportsmanship Award winners have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, these honorees must be in good academic standing and must have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
Congrats to Nick Robinson for being named a recipient of the B1G Outstanding Sportsmanship Award. We couldn't be more proud of this guy and everything he does!!!! #Badgers #B1GMGolf https://uwbadgers.com/news/2020/5/27

The second UW women's soccer student-athlete to win this honor, Wesley served as a two-year captain for the Badgers and was tremendous leader on and off the pitch. A senior from Hartland, Wis., she started 67 games during her UW career and appeared in 84 contests overall. A versatile player for the Badgers, she started her career on the Wisconsin backline before moving into the UW midfield her senior year. Wesley led UW to four-straight NCAA appearances and was a part of the first senior class since 1996 to appear in four NCAA tournaments. She was also part of the Badgers' 2019 Big Ten championship team that went undefeated in conference play.
