KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The reigning Big Ten Champions earned another award on Thursday as the Wisconsin women's soccer team received the 2020 College Team Academic Award, presented by the United Soccer Coaches, in recognition of the team's work in the classroom and on the pitch.
The Badgers are one of 925 college teams (349 men, 579 women) to earn the award and one of 197 schools to have both its men's and women's teams recognized.
This marks the second-straight year UW has earned the honor and the ninth time in school history (1996, 2003, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2019, 2020).
To be eligible for the award, a team must have a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.
