Badgers fall 1-0 to Nebraska

UW drops first road match of the season
LINCOLN, Neb. — The Wisconsin women's soccer team suffered its first road loss of the 2021 campaign, dropping a 1-0 contest at Nebraska Sunday afternoon.
Nebraska (5-9-2, 1-5-2) led 8-6 in shots throughout the first 45 minutes, but all six of Wisconsin's (8-4-4, 3-3-2) shots were on net. The Badgers received two corner kick opportunities while Nebraska received three.
Goalkeeper Jordyn Bloomer made three saves to backstop the Badger's offensive efforts in the first half.
The Badgers continued to battle in the second half, tallying nine more shots, three of which were on net.
Nebraska broke the 0-0 stalemate in the 83rd minute for a late 1-0 lead.
Both teams recorded 15 shots on net while UW had four corner kicks to Nebraska's three.
