MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin hosts Providence for the 2021 Gavitt Tipoff Games at the Kohl Center on Monday at 8 p.m. CT on FS1.

The Badgers are 1-2 all-time in the Gavitt Games, most recently earning a 77-68 road win at Xavier in 2018.

Here's your Starting Five before the Badgers and Friars face off at the Kohl Center:

1. LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin opened the season 2-0 for the fourth time in the last five seasons with a 72-34 win over Green Bay last Friday. Allowing just 34 points, UW surrendered the fewest points defensively in the Gard era and the fewest overall since a 62-31 win over Northern Kentucky in Nov. 14, 2014. Steven Crowl led Wisconsin with a career-high 18 points (7-11 FG) and seven rebounds. Johnny Davis and Brad Davison rounded out UW's double-digit scorers with 15 points apiece.

2. WHAT'S TRENDING: Through two games, Wisconsin is out-rebouding opponents 49.0 to 31.0, while averaging just 9.5 turnovers per game. Defensively, the Badgers are limiting foes to 46.0 points per game and just 32.5% shooting (21.6% 3FG).

3. NON-CON, NO PROBLEM: The Badgers have won 23 consecutive non-conference home games dating back to the 2017-18 season.

4. FRESHMAN PHENOM: Chucky Hepburn became the first true freshman to start a season opener for Wisconsin since Devin Harris in 2001-02. He also became just the fifth UW freshman to score double digits in a season opener since 2000.

5. DAVISON LEAVING HIS MARK: Scoring 15 points last Friday, Davison passed Jon Leuer (2008-11) to climb to 18th place on UW's all-time scoring list. Davison also ranks in UW's career annals for: 5th - 3FGs (225); 5th - FT% (.831); 4th - Games Started (126); 8th - Minutes Played (4,059).
