MADISON, Wis. — Former Badger Trent Frederic (2016-18) notched his first NHL goal on Sunday during the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers outdoor matchup in Lake Tahoe, California, helping the Bruins to their 7-3 victory.

Frederic's first NHL point, an assist back in January, also came against the Flyers.
Another former Badger and member of the Bruins, Craig Smith (2009-11) picked up two assists in Lake Tahoe, including one on Frederic's goal.Â
Former Badger Brian Elliott (2003-07) made an appearance in the game as well, playing in goal in a relief effort for the Flyers, allowing one goal on 10 shots in the third period.
After signing with the Chicago Blackhawks organization and spending some time on their taxi squad, former Badgers captain Wyatt Kalynuk (2017-20) joined the Rockford Icehogs of the AHL. Kalynuk, a defenseman, put up a goal and an assist in two games played with Rockford before he was called back up to Chicago but has yet to make his NHL debut.
Ryan McDonagh, a former Badger and defending Stanley Cup Champion with the Tampa Bay Lightning, recently reached 300 NHL points. He recorded two assists in a tilt against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Jan. 21, helping the Lightning to a 3-2 overtime win.
