March 11, 2021 | Men's Tennis
Wisconsin will face fourth-consecutive ranked foe in No. 38 Iowa
MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men's tennis team (1-5, 1-4 Big Ten) is set for a pair of road matches this weekend and will compete against No. 38 Iowa at 1 p.m. Friday and Nebraska at 11 a.m. Sunday.
- Badger Review: The Badgers are looking to pick up a pair of wins against the Hawkeyes and the Huskers following a loss to Minnesota in their last action on March 6. Lenard Soha and Mihailo Popovic continue to lead UW in doubles with their 3-1 record, while Gabriel Huber (2-2) and Jared Pratt (2-2) scored wins in singles last weekend to pick up the lone points for Wisconsin in a loss to the 47th-ranked Gophers.
- Scouting Iowa: The No. 38 Hawkeyes are currently 3-2 in the Big Ten. They are led by the duo of Will Davies and Oliver Okonkwo, who are ranked No. 17 nationally in doubles and are unbeaten this spring.
- Scouting Nebraska: The Huskers have yet to win a match and own an 0-5 record overall. Wisconsin seeks its fifth straight win over the Huskers, which includes the teams' most recent matchup, a 6-1 triumph for UW on March 8, 2019. Incidentally, a March 13 match was the next event on the Badgers' schedule when the 2020 season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
