OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — Both openweight and lightweight women's rowing teams were back in action today for day one of the Cardinal Invitational in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
"It feels incredible to be racing again," said lightweight Head Coach Dusty Mattison. "In all honesty there are no words to describe the anticipation and excitement. I am beyond impressed with the level of rowing I am seeing already."
Wisconsin raced exceptionally well for its first race back after a prolonged off season without a 2020 spring or fall season.
"Races went extremely well this morning," said openweight Head Coach Bebe Bryans. "All boats confident and positive and, for many, they got their first race as Badgers in the books."
Badgers who made their collegiate debuts include Emma Collins, Eveline Enthoven, Falcon Jaacks, Alicia Le Bars, Darby Loveless, Victoria Moda, Kelsey Best, Carlee Hoschouer, Avery Wright and Nora Byrne.
