Sophomore Eric Barnett (125 pounds) and redshirt freshman Kyle Burwick (133 pounds) were both selected to the prestigious honor in recognition of their competitive and academic achievements during the 2020-2021 season.

"I'm extremely proud of Eric and Kyle!" said Wisconsin head coach Chris Bono. "They are examples of everything that the University of Wisconsin wrestling program stands for!"

Hailing from Greenville, Wisconsin, Barnett earned his first-ever trip to the NCAA Championships this season and finished eighth overall to become a NCAA All-American. He was a wild-card qualifier to NCAAs after finishing 10th at the Big Ten Championships thanks to a highly-competitive dual season with key victories over Big Ten opponents. He finished with a 11-8 overall record in the COVID-19 shortened Big Ten season. A personal finance major, Barnett has earned a 3.094 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and was a 2021 Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

Teammate Kyle Burwick, a native of Hettinger, North Dakota, also earned his first-ever trip to the NCAA Championships this season and finished with a 7-8 overall record in the COVID-19 shortened Big Ten season. Burwick was an automatic qualifier to NCAAs after finishing fifth at the Big Ten Championships. He has earned a 3.265 cumulative GPA as he works towards his degree in physical education and is a 2021 Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
