Bloomer named to Mac Hermann Trophy watch list

Two-time All-American, two-time Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year recognized

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin women's soccer senior Jordyn Bloomer was named to the watch list for the 2021 Mac Hermann Trophy, announced by the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) on Thursday.

A two-time All-American at goalkeeper for the Badgers, it marked the second straight season Bloomer was named to the Mac Hermann Trophy watch list — the highest individual honor in college soccer — after she also earned a preseason nod prior to the 2020-21 season.

The Hartland, Wisconsin, native is a two-time Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year and enters the 2021 season ranked fourth in school history with 26 career blank slates.

Bloomer and the Badgers kick off their 2021 campaign on Thursday night with a game against Kansas City. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. CT and fans can watch the match for free via KCRoos.Com.
