1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers kicked off the 2021 campaign with two road wins at Kansas City and Kansas last weekend. Lauren Rice scored twice and added an assist in the Badgers' 4-0 win against the Roos. It marked UW's largest margin of victory since a 6-0 win against Hofstra in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

On Sunday, Emma Jaskaniec scored her seventh career game-winning goal to lift the Badgers to a 1-0 win over the Jayhawks.

2. MOVING ON UP: With her two shutouts over the weekend, Jordyn Bloomer moved up into a tie for third place in school history in career shutouts with 28 career blank slates. The shutouts capped off an impressive week for the Hartland native, who was named to the Big Ten Players to Watch List and was also named to the Mac Hermann Trophy Preseason Watch List. 3. A STELLAR START: The Badgers are off to a 2-0 start for the first time since the 2015 season. UW looks to improve to a 3-0 start for the first time since the 2014 campaign, when UW opened the season with a 7-0 record. The Badgers have opened the season with two straight shutouts, the most for UW since the Badgers opened the 2012 season with three-straight clean sheets.

4. MIGHTY AT MCCLIMON: The Badgers have been tough to play at the McClimon Soccer Complex. UW was undefeated last season in Madison with a 2-0-1 record after earning a 9-1-1 record during the 2019 campaign. Since the start of the 2014 season, the Badgers are 46-7-12 at the McClimon Soccer Complex.

5. AGAINST THE OPPONENTS: This weekend marks the first meeting between Wisconsin and Notre Dame since the 2016 season when the Badgers suffered a close 1-0 defeat against the Fighting Irish in South Bend. UW won the last meeting against Notre Dame in Madison thanks to a 1-0 triumph on Aug. 17, 20212.

UW leads the all-time series with Eastern Illinois, 1-0, winning the only matchup with the Panthers, 3-0, on Sept. 7, 1997.
