Five Things To Know: Badgers continue non-con play against Loyola and Baylor

UW hits the road to Chicago before hosting Baylor on Sunday night

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team continues its non-conference season with a battle at Loyola on Thursday night before returning home to face Baylor on Sunday night at the McClimon Soccer Complex.

Kickoff for both games is set for 7 p.m. and the Badgers' home game against the Bears features free admission. Fans should look at the Badgers' home game information page for more information before attending games at the McClimon Soccer Complex.

Fans can watch Thursday's game on ESPN+ while Sunday's game can be seen online via Big Ten Network Plus.

1. LAST TIME OUT: UW is coming off of a dominating 5-0 win over Eastern Illinois on Sunday afternoon at the McCLimon Soccer Complex. UW outshot EIU 39-1 with 19 of the 39 shots on target. Natalie Viggiano scored two goals while Emma Jaskaniec, Jenna Kiraly and Joyelle Washington each tallied goals in the contest.

2. DOMINATING OFFENSE: The Badgers offense has outscored its opponents 11-2 so far this season, which includes a 4-0 win over Kansas City and a 5-0 win over Eastern Illinois. UW's five goals scored on Sunday were the most since UW tallied six in a 6-0 win over Hofstra in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.  UW already has as many multi-goal games this year than they did last season during the COVID-19 shortened campaign.

3. EXCELLENT EMMA: Emma Jaskaniec enters this weekend's series on a roll as the junior midfielder has scored in three-straight games for UW. The Menomonee Falls native has points in five of UW's last six games dating back to the 2020-21 season. Jaskaniec has a team-best eight points after leading UW last year with 10 points last season.

4. FIRE AWAY: Through four games, the Badgers have outshot their opponent in each match as UW holds a 80-13 advantage over its opponent. Forty-two of UW's 80 shots have been on goal while UW has allowed only eight attempts on target. Emma Jaskaniec leads the way with 14 shots while Cammie Murtha has 11 so far this year.

5. AGAINST LOYOLA AND BAYLOR: UW leads the all-time series with Loyola 6-0-1. The two teams tied their last matchup in Chicago thanks to a 1-1 draw. Cammie Murtha tied the game against the Ramblers in the 30th minute off an assist from Claire Shea.

Sunday will mark only the second-ever meeting between the Badgers and Bears as UW defeated Baylor, 3-2, in overtime on Sept. 6, 2004 in Columbia, Missouri. Allison Preiss scored the game-winning goal with one second left in the first overtime period.
