Five Things to Know: Badgers return home to host Penn State, Purdue

UW plays its first TV game Thursday before hosting “Pac the Mac” on Sunday
MADISON, Wis. – After a three-game road trip to begin Big Ten Conference play, the No. 18 Wisconsin women's soccer team returns home to host Penn State and Purdue this weekend at the McClimon Soccer Complex.
The Badgers and Nittany Lions will battle Thursday night in a nationally televised game on Big Ten Network at 7 p.m. before UW and Purdue meet on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT. Both games feature free admission.
Sunday's contest will be UW's annual "Pac the Mac" soccer doubleheader and UW will honor both its men's and women's soccer alumni during the day. More information can be found here.
1. LAST TIME OUT: UW earned a pair of positive results during its latest road trip to Michigan, collecting a 1-0 win at Michigan State on Thursday night thanks to a Claire Odmark goal before posting a 0-0 draw at No. 18 Michigan on Sunday afternoon. UW extended its winning streak over MSU to 12 games while they are now unbeaten in their last three games against Michigan.
2. ANOTHER HONOR FOR BLOOMER: For the second time this year, senior goalkeeper Jordyn Bloomer was named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week after posting two shutouts on the road. Bloomer made seven saves in UW's 1-0 win at Michigan State before collecting a save in Wisconsin's 0-0 draw at Michigan. With five career honors, Bloomer now has earned the most Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week honors in league history.
3. TV TIME: Thursday's contest on Big Ten Network marks the first of three games on TV for UW this regular season. The Badgers will be back on TV on Thursday, Oct. 14 in a 6 p.m. game against Northwestern that can also be seen on Big Ten Network. UW's final TV game of the regular season will take place on Wednesday, October 20 vs. Ohio State as the Badgers and Buckeyes will battle at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.
4. READY FOR SOME HOME COOKING: After playing its first three Big Ten games on the road, UW will close the season with five of its final seven conference games at the McClimon Soccer Complex. Since the start of the 2014 season, the Badgers are 48-8-13 at McClimon, including a 2-1-1 record this season.
5. AGAINST THE OPPONENTS: UW has earned a pair of 1-0 wins the last two times the teams have met during the 2019 and 2017 seasons. Emma Jaskaniec scored the game-winning goal against the Nittany Lions in the Sept. 29, 2019 meeting while Cammie Murtha had the game-winner on Oct. 25, 2017.
UW leads the all-time series with Purdue 12-9-3 and has won 9 of the last 11 meetings with the Boilermakers.
