Senior posted two shutouts last weekend for UW
MADISON, Wis. -- After leading UW to back-to-back shutouts last week, Wisconsin women's soccer senior Jordyn Bloomer was named the Big Ten Conference Co-Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
The Hartland, Wisconsin, native posted six saves last week, leading UW to its fourth and fifth clean sheets of the season.
After saving two shots in a 0-0 draw at Loyola, Bloomer, a two-time All-American made four saves, including a clutch one in overtime, to lead UW to a 0-0 tie against Baylor on Sunday.
A two-time Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year, Bloomer moved up to third in school history with her 29th and 30th career shutouts.
Bloomer and the Badgers continue non-conference play on Thursday with an in-state battle at Milwaukee. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
