Wisconsin improves to 2-0 on season
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The 16th-ranked Wisconsin women's swimming and diving team won 11 events to down Arizona State, 187-111, on Saturday afternoon. The Badger women improve to 2-0 on the season.
Wanezek also won four events. In addition to the relays, the freshman claimed the 50 free in 23.30 and the 100 free in 50.47.
Senior Kit Greenberg was double-event winners for the Badgers. Greenberg claimed both diving events, winning the 1-meter board with 251.70 points and the 3-meter board with 284.18 points.
Wisconsin swept the top-three places in the 1000 free as sophomore Paige McKenna touched in 10:04.01 for the win. Senior Alivia Lindorfer finished second in 10:08.99 while junior Elle Braun took third in 10:10.08.
Badgers took the top-two spots in the 200 free as Carlson claimed victory in 1:47.86 while freshman Blair Stoneburg finished second in 1:48.87. Stoneburg also won the 500 free in 4:52.43 while Braun took second in 4:56.15.
Other event winners were Elizabeth Moore, who touched in 1:02.39 to win the 100 breaststroke, and Jump, who won the 100 fly in 53.95.

Bacon, Wanezek win four events
Junior Phoebe Bacon continued winning ways, claiming four events. She won the 100-yard backstroke in 54.50 seconds and the 200 back in 1:57.20. She was also a member of the winning 400 medley relay, teaming with Hazal Ozkan, Mallory Jump and Abby Wanezek to touch in 3:39.76. Bacon was also a part of the victorious 200 free relay team of Wanezek, Abby Carlson and Mackenzie McConagha, who finished in 1:32.99.Wanezek also won four events. In addition to the relays, the freshman claimed the 50 free in 23.30 and the 100 free in 50.47.
