Assistant Coach Beau Hoopman
"We've gotten in quite a bit of mileage in the last two weeks. However, usually we would have a couple races under our belts by the time this regatta rolls around, and our lack of racing experience showed."
"The ultimate goal of freshman year is to teach them how to be racers; we aren't going to out muscle our competition at the very top. Sometimes you need to learn the hard lessons early to understand what the point is; how they react in the next 5 months will determine if they will make it as collegiate oarsmen."
