MADISON, Wis. – With non-conference play over, the No. 14 Wisconsin men's basketball team is set to continue Big Ten play Tuesday night hosting Minnesota at the Kohl Center. The matchup between the Badgers and Gophers is set for 8 p.m. CT and will be televised on Big Ten Network.

Before the Badgers tip, here is the Starting Five:

1. LAST TIME OUT: Playing their final game of 2022, the Badgers ended the year on a high note defeating Western Michigan in a 76-66 final. Steven Crowl scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Chucky Hepburn (11 pts) and Tyler Wahl (10 pts) also scored in double figures for UW.

2. CAREER NIGHT: Steven Crowl notched a career high in points (25) last Friday vs. Western Michigan, shooting 9-for-13 from the floor, including three triples, while also grabbing eight rebounds. The junior big man scored 20 of his points in the second half alone.

3. LIMITING MISTAKES: The Badgers turned the ball over just four times against the Broncos, including zero turnovers in the second half. Wisconsin ranks sixth in the nation this season averaging just 9.8 turnovers per game. Wisconsin sits behind Notre Dame and Virginia, who give the ball away only 9.6 times per contest. Two other league opponents, Penn State and Michigan, also join UW in the top ten.

4. SERIES AGAINST MINNESOTA: The Badgers lead the all-time series against Wisconsin, 105-104. UW has won four straight games. Three of the last four games between the Big Ten foes have been decided by six points or less. Wisconsin earned a season series sweep last year, most recently earning a 68-67 win over the Gophers in Minneapolis.

5. SCOUTING THE GOPHERS: Tuesday's game at the Kohl Center will be the first of two meetings between the Badgers and the Gophers this season. Minnesota currently holds a 6-6 record (0-2 Big Ten), coming off a 58-55 win against Chicago State. The Gophers are led by forward Dawson Garcia, who is averaging 14.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game and shooting .460 (64-139) from the field.
