Canada and U.S. both win second games at Olympics

Teams both undefeated in preliminary games

BEIJING— Both the Canadian and the United States' women's teams won their games on Saturday at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Canada recorded another double-digit win at 11-1 while USA came out on top with a 5-0 shutout.

Canada faced Finland in the first game of the day. Sarah Nurse, the only player in Wisconsin history to record a hat trick against Minnesota, recorded a hat trick against the Fins to help Canada to an 11-1 win.
Emily Clark put up an assist on the final goal of the game. Goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens made 28 stops and allowed just one goal.

Canada will play the Russian Olympic Committee Sunday night at 10:10 p.m. CT.

Team USA faced the Russian Olympic Committee in the last game on Saturday in Beijing. The Americans took the Russians down 5-2.

Hilary Knight shined in the game, scoring two points with a goal and an assist.
 
The U.S will face Switzerland at 7:10 a.m. CT on Sunday.

Canada and the U.S. will then face each other at 10:10 p.m. CT on Monday to close out the preliminary round. All three games will be on USA Network.
