Three Badgers earn Big Ten weekly awards

Bacon, Torok, and Carlson have been honored
MADISON, Wis. – Since the start of the 2023-24 season, three members of the Wisconsin men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been honored by the Big Ten Conference.
For the Badger men, Dominik Mark-Torok has been named the Big Ten Swimmer of the Week for two consecutive weeks, including Wednesday. Torok is coming off a very successful weekend after earning four individual wins and two relay wins to help Wisconsin sweep Arizona and No.18 Michigan. The Badgers defeated Michigan for the first time since the 1980-81 season. The Budapest, Hungary, native was also honored on Oct. 18 after winning
On the women's side, senior captain Phoebe Bacon earned the women's Swimmer of the Week award for the week of Oct. 25. Junior Abby Carlson was also named women's Swimmer of the Week for the week on Oct. 11.

- Part of the third-place 400 medley relay (3:13.62) and second-place 200 medley relay (1:287.68)
- Earned an NCAA "B" cut time in the 400 IM
- Awarded Swimmer of the Week for two consecutive weeks (Oct.17, Oct.25)

- Won the 200 fly (1:45.14), 200 breast (1:58.00), 200 IM (1:48.25)
- Earned an NCAA "B" cut time in the 200 fly
- Earned first Big Ten Swimmer of the Week award

- Won the 100 back (53.37), 200 back (1:54.44), 100 fly (53.10), and 200 IM (2:00.47)
- Apart of all four winning relays against No.14 Michigan and Arizona
- Earned NCAA "B" cut times in the 100 back, 200 back, and 100 fly
Abby Carlson
Jr. – Waukesha, Wis. – Waukesha South
- Won the 200 free (1:46.82) and 500 free (4:46.14)
- Apart of the winning 400 free relay (3:20.04)
- Earned an NCAA "B" cut time in both the 200 and 500 free
