Badgers earn 13 NCAA B times at Texas Invitational

Wisconsin continues to perform at high level

AUSTIN, Texas – The No.12 Wisconsin women's swimming and diving team earned another 13 NCAA qualifying marks at the Texas Invitational on Saturday.

Bacon earns second-place finish

Phoebe Bacon was the top finisher for Wisconsin on night three of the invitational. Bacon placed second in the 100 back with an NCAA "B" cut time of 51.43 seconds. She was followed up by Mackenzie McConagha, who placed fourth in the event in 52.23, another NCAA qualifying time.

Other top finishers

McConagha was the top finisher for the Badgers in the 100 fly, coming in ninth in 52.88. Hailey Tierney closely followed in 10th place with an NCAA "B" cut time of 52.93.

Callahan Dunn placed fifth in the 400 individual medley with her first NCAA "B" cut time of the season, hitting the wall in 4:11.15. Maddie Waggoner placed 10th in 4:12.96.

The Badgers picked up two "B" cuts in the 200 free as junior Abby Carlson finished sixth in 1:44.87 while sophomore Blair Stoneburg touched in an NCAA qualifying time of 1:45.70 for 10th.

Sophomore Hazal Ozkan took third in the 100 breaststroke, touching in 59.53 for an NCAA "B" qualifying time.

To finish off the night, the Wisconsin A team earned an NCAA "B" cut time in the 200 free relay. The quartet of Tierney, Bacon, Abby Wanezek, and Sophie Fiske hit the wall in 1:28.74 for third place.

The Badgers wrap up competition at the Texas Invitational and Georgia Invitational on Saturday. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. in Texas with finals at 6 p.m.
