MADISON, Wis. - The 2023 NCAA National Semi-Finalist Wisconsin volleyball program is excited to announce its annual coaches clinic on Saturday, February 3
rd, 2024 in the UW Field House.
The 2024 Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Clinic is designed and developed for coaches and fans of all levels including elementary, middle school, high school, club, college, and boys' and girls' volleyball coaches.
The clinic will be led by the Wisconsin coaching staff, including the 2023 AVCA Region Co-Coach of the Year
Kelly Sheffield, Associate Head Coaches
Brittany Dildine and
Gary White, and Assistant Coach
Annemarie Hickey. In addition to the Wisconsin volleyball staff, the program will welcome additional guest clinicians that will be announced in the future.
The Badger volleyball program completed their successful 2023 campaign culminating in the program's sixth appearance in the National Semi-Finals in Tampa, Florida, their fourth appearance since 2019, having won the Championship in 2021. The Badgers finished with an overall record of 30-4, their third 30-win season under the direction of Head Coach
Kelly Sheffield. The Badgers finished the season with their 11
th straight year making it to the Regional round of the NCAA Tournament, and their fifth trip to the National Semi-Finals. The 2023 program was honored with their second AVCA Player of the Year and had four athletes earn AVCA All-American distinctions. In addition to those awards, the 2023 Badgers led the BIG Ten in multiple categories in conference including Hitting Percentage, Opponent Hitting Percentage, Points per set, Blocks per set, and Aces per set.
The 2024 clinic will begin with check-in on February 3
rd at 8:45 a.m. inside Gate C of the historic UW Field House with the Clinic Opening and Introductions starting at 9:15 a.m. Clinic Sessions will include both on-court and off-court topics presented by the Badger staff and their guest clinicians. Participants will be able to choose between concurrent on-court and off-court sessions throughout the different presentation blocks. Cost of the clinic is $100 per person. If a school or club program brings three or more coaches to the clinic, all coaches from that school or club will be discounted $15 off each of their individual clinic registrations. Lunch will not be provided, however, attendees will be given a break time for lunch.
