Record breaking DMR

Looking to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, the distance medley relay team of Colin Enz, Abdullahi Hassan, Adam Spencer, and Jackson Sharp combined to break their own school record as well as set a new Big Ten Conference mark. Spencer kicked off the relay with a 2:49.0 leg in the 1200 meters. Enz followed with a 46.3 time in the meters before Hassan ran 1:46.5 for 800 meters. Sharp anchored the relay with a 3:57.9 1600-meter leg as the team tied for first in 9 minutes, 19.99 seconds.

Wisconsin becomes one of only five teams in NCAA history to run a sub-9:20 time in the relay. It is also tied for the fifth best performance on the all-time world list. For this season, the Badgers lead the Big Ten and rank third nationally.
