Varsity four earn second-straight first place finish
SARASOTA, Fla. — The Wisconsin Badgers women's rowing team is bringing home some hardware from the second and final day of the Sunshine State Regatta on Saturday.
Three of the Badgers' four boats earned top-three finishes in their final day of racing, all in grand finals. The varsity four swept the competition with a second-straight first-place finish. The second varsity eight came in second and the second varsity eight came in third.
Each boat rowed to a top-three finish in one of their two races this weekend.

On the day
"Today was a good step in the right direction. We definitely executed some things better that we had worked on and talked about so that was a real high point. We are bringing home some medals, that's always fun, and we had a couple of boats that just came out on the wrong side of really close races."
Looking ahead
"We haven't really had a chance to work too much on our sprint yet so that's coming while we're down here but overall a solid performance from the Badgers, all of the boats, all of the women. It's working, we're working. The next few days are going to be awesome down here to keep the ball rolling. It's game on next weekend."
Up Next: The Badgers will remain down in Florida for the week before taking on top competition form the Big Ten and elsewhere at the B1G Invite in Sarasota next Friday and Saturday, April 7-8
