Event offers unique opportunity to learn about novel findings in meditation research in sport

MADISON, Wis. — Badger Inquiry on Sport (BIOS) and the Wisconsin Athletics Department of Meditation Training are co-hosting the inaugural Meditation Research in Sport Symposium on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

BIOS brings together the best of UW Madison Research and Athletics. The Director of Meditation Training is a first of its kind position in sport, and is held by Chad McGehee whose position includes both training and research.

At the 2023 Meditation Research in Sport Symposium, attendees from around Wisconsin and beyond will gather for a unique opportunity to learn about novel research findings from scientific experts in the field. This learning and development opportunity will include time for questions, discussion and networking.

Held at historic Camp Randall Stadium, attendees will:

  • Receive original research findings from Meditation Training in Sport at Wisconsin Athletics.
  • Learn specific strategies from UW-Madison researchers on Meditation training and practices in sport and programs.
  • Have opportunities to connect with UW-Madison researchers and leaders.
  • Engage in interactive "walk and talks" throughout UW-Madison athletics facilities.
  • Earn a BIOS certificate of professional learning.

Cost is $50 per person.

Register as a group of three (3) people or more to receive the group rate. Group rate is $40 per person. Each person in the group will need to register individually and select the "Group Registration" ticket.
