Badgers earn ITA Academic honors

Wisconsin earns team award; six athletes earn individual honors
MADISON, Wis. — The awards keep coming for the Wisconsin men's tennis team. The Badgers wrapped up their year in the classroom, earning 2023 ITA All-Academic team honors and six Badgers earned individual ITA Scholar Athlete awards, which was announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday.
Wisconsin was one of 162 Division I men's tennis programs to earn All-Academic team distinction. The Badgers' six athletes were part of a total of 959 DI men's student-athletes that were named an ITA Scholar Athlete.
Individual Badgers to earn ITA Scholar Athlete honors were:
Jason Hildebrandt
Gabriel Huber
Robin Parts
Jared Pratt
Zachary Schwartz
Sebastian Vile
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
Wisconsin was one of 162 Division I men's tennis programs to earn All-Academic team distinction. The Badgers' six athletes were part of a total of 959 DI men's student-athletes that were named an ITA Scholar Athlete.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
- Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
