
Red-White Scrimmage set for Oct. 15

Free event offers fans a first look at 2023-24 team
MADISON, Wis. — Fans are invited to get their first look at this year's Wisconsin men's basketball team when it hosts the annual Red-White Scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. (CT) at the Kohl Center.
Admission to the event is FREE and no tickets are required. Seating will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Kohl Center doors (Gates A and B) will be open beginning at 2:30 p.m. with the event scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
Concessions and drinks will be available for purchase at the event. In continued efforts to enhance the customer journey and game day experience, Wisconsin will now offer beer, wine, and pre-packaged alcoholic products such as hard seltzers in general seating areas at the Kohl Center. This customer-centered initiative includes concerts and Badger basketball and hockey games beginning this fall.
Parking will be available for $10 in UW Lots 46 and 91. Accessible parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis in Lots 48 and 87. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted at the lot entrances.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in a gameday competition for the chance to win a prize, courtesy of Culver's.
As part of Sunday Kids' Day, children ages 12 and under will receive a free lunchbox (while supplies last).
Other contests and games for fans to win prizes at include plinko and a guess-the-number game.
The first 500 students to arrive will receive a free AreaRED t-shirt. Students that arrive early will also be able to enter to compete in a pregame cornhole tournament. Prizes for the student cornhole tournament include the chance to travel with the UW men's basketball team on a road trip this season, season tickets, and swag bags.
Following the scrimmage, students are invited to attend the AreaRED Rally postgame social hour. Students in attendance at the postgame social hour can enjoy free pizza, courtesy Toppers Pizza.
