MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women's swim and dive team began the 2024-25 season on a high note, sweeping Green Bay in every event at the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center on Friday afternoon. 

Graduate student Phoebe Bacon came out on top in both of her events, with a time of 53.38 in the 100 fly and 1:47.62 in the 200 free. 

In the 50 freestyle, Hailey Tierney finished with a time of 23.04, while teammates Abby Wanezek, Haley Zelen and Kit Schneider were all within a second of her. 

On the distance side, Paige McKenna grabbed a first place finish in the 500 freestyle and Maddie Wagoner came in first in the 1000 freestyle. 

In the diving well, Molly Hampton led the way in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter. Ryane Neal, Vivian Kinnard and Greta Kavanagh followed her in both events as well.

Up Next

The Badgers will hit the road next weekend for a meet against Michigan and Notre Dame in Ann Arbor, Mich. The meet is set to begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
