MADISON, Wis. – On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1-2, Wisconsin visits No. 19/20 Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, for its first conference road series of the season.
Friday's game starts at 6 p.m. CT and Saturday's game starts at 5 p.m. CT. Both games stream on Peacock.
Here are six quick things to know before tuning in:
Rosters: Badgers || Fighting Irish
1 - WEEKEND RECAP: Wisconsin heads into its fourth series of the year with a 1-5-0 record (0-2-0 Big Ten) after being swept by No. 1 and defending NCAA champion Denver at Magness Arena last weekend.
In game one, the Badgers outshot the Pioneers, 33-25, but lost, 4-2. Playing in Denver for the first time since 2016 against its longtime WCHA rival, Wisconsin lit the lamp early in the first period on a goal from Gavin Morrissey, but Denver quickly responded to tie the game at one. Each team traded goals again, with Quinn Finley scoring for Wisconsin, to head into the second period tied at two. Denver tallied the go-ahead goal 7:35 into the third period before adding an empty-net goal with 1:49 remaining to emerge victorious, 4-2.
The Badgers fell, 6-1, in game two. Wisconsin lit the lamp 7:41 into the contest on the power play after
Quinn Finley scored his fifth goal of the year. Denver responded less than two minutes later, scoring three goals in the first period to head into the second with a two-goal lead. The Pioneers added two more in the final three minutes of the second and one 4:53 into the third to win, 6-1.
2 - FINLEY'S ON FIRE: Sophomore forward
Quinn Finley has had a hot start to the season. He's currently on a five-game point streak, scoring all five of his goals and his seven points during that stretch. Finley's seven points are tied for the team lead.
He scored twice at Denver last weekend, tallying a goal in each game against the defending champs.
3 - TREMENDOUS TOP LINE: The Badgers' top forward line of
Quinn Finley,
Gavin Morrissey and
Ryland Mosley have started the season strong, with the line accounting for nine of the Badgers' 10 goals and 20 of 29 points this season through six games.
Freshman forward Morrissey is tied with Finley for the roster lead in points, racking up seven (2g, 5a) points in six games played.
Graduate student transfer Mosley isn't far behind, as he ranks second on the team with six points (2g, 4a). He had his own season-opening five-game point streak snapped last Saturday at No. 1 Denver.
4 - BE HOME SOON: The games against Notre Dame wrap up UW's only consecutive road series of the season. The Badgers do play six consecutive games away from the Kohl Center between Dec. 13 and Jan. 4, but that includes a weekend off and three neutral site contests.
The Badgers return to the Kohl Center on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8-9, for a border battle series against Minnesota. Friday's game starts at 7 p.m. and is Denim Night – students are encouraged to wear 'Canadien Tuxedos,' and the first 800 students in attendance will receive a customizable denim hat. Saturday's game starts at 6 p.m. and is 'White Out' themed. Attendees should wear white clothing to the game, and the first 7,000 fans in attendance will receive a Wisconsin Hockey foam glow stick. The first 1,000 students will receive Wisconsin Hockey light-up glasses.

Sophomore forward Cole Knuble leads the team with five goals and 10 points in six games played. Junior goaltender Owen Say has three wins in three starts, accumulating a 1.00 goals-against on average and a .969 save percentage.
