Second half surge gives Wisconsin a point
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's soccer team returned home to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers today, Oct. 6. The Badgers scored two unanswered goals in the second half to earn a draw and a conference point. 
How it Happened
First Half
The Huskers moved fast scoring in the 3rd minute. The Badgers stepped up and matched the pace of play pushing the Huskers' defense.
Nebraska earned another in the 30th minute pushing the lead to 2-0.
Although the Badgers were trailing, the team led in corner kicks (3-1) and saves (3-1).
Second Half
Wisconsin came out of the break with a new energy, which led to Ayrssa Mahrt netting a goal in the 65th minute.
 
Hailey Baumann capitalized in the 90th minute with her first-ever collegiate goal, tying the game 2-2.
Up Next
Wisconsin will have the next three games on the road, with the first stop in Iowa. The Badgers will square up with the Hawkeyes on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7:00 p.m. (CT).
