MINNEAPOLIS, MIN. - The Wisconsin women's soccer team battled the No. 10 Ohio State Buckeyes in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, dropping with a final score of 1-0/
How it Happened
First Half
The Badgers and Buckeyes were evenly matched throughout the first half. Both teams had equal possession, of the ball testing each other's offense and defense.
Drew Stover earned amazing back-to-back saves in the 11th minute to stop the Buckeyes in their tracks.
She shut down any possible weapons on the Buckeyes offense.
The score was tied 0-0 at the half.
Second Half
The Badgers came out of the break with a sense of urgency looking for a way to open up the Buckeyes defense and score.
Wisconsin earned its first corner kick in the 5th minute of the second half but the Buckeyes quickly cleared it away.
The Buckeyes eventuallly found the back of the net in the 79th.
Stover put in work tying her career high of saves of seven.
Wisconsin fought for the full 90, but was unable to capitalize.
