High-scoring Calgary Hitmen forward joins Wisconsin’s 2025 class of signees

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's hockey team has signed another forward to its early recruiting class for 2025, adding Calgary Hitmen skater Oliver Tulk to the group.

Oliver Tulk
Forward, 5-8, 174, R
Gibsons, British Columbia
Calgary Hitmen (WHL)

Tulk is currently in his fourth year skating for the Western Hockey League's Calgary Hitmen, tallying 15 goals and a team-best 49 points through 30 games played so far this season. His 34 assists lead the roster, and he ranks second in goals, while his 49 points are good to tie for third in the league. Tulk, who was invited to the Los Angeles Kings' 2024 training camp, most recently recorded his fourth four-point night of the season in Calgary's 8-5 win over the Prince Albert Raiders on Dec. 18, notching one goal and three assists.

The Gibsons, British Columbia, native totals 88 goals and 208 points in 227 career games played for the Hitmen, earning WHL Central Division Second All-Star Team honors in 2023-24 after leading the roster with 40 goals and 80 points in 66 games played.

Prior to playing for the Hitmen, Tulk skated for Delta Hockey Academy for three years, racking up 102 points (38g, 64a) in 65 games played from 2018 to 2021.

Associate Head Coach Todd Knott on Tulk:
"Offensively he's dynamic and that's both power play and other times. And it's not just his shooting threat that makes him special, but he can also make a play. He's a right-handed shot, which we can use more of, who can play both center and wing for us."

Tulk joins forwards Finn Brink (Maple Grove, Minnesota), Grady Deering (Des Moines, Iowa), Blake Montgomery (Annapolis, Maryland) and Vasily Zelenov (Moscow, Russia), as well as defenseman Luke Osburn (Plymouth, Michigan) and goaltender Daniel Hauser (Chestermere, Alberta) in the current class of 2025.
